Northern Kentucky takes down Eastern Kentucky 76-57

The in-state battle Sunday night ended in NKU’s favor with a 76-57 win. The Norse are now 7-3 on the season. Senior forward Dantez Walton led with 18 points and nine rebounds. Sophomore guard Trevon Faulkner also had 18 points and led in assists with seven.

With NKU’s basketball program growing massively in the past few years, including two trips to the NCAA tournament and one bid to the NIT, the athletics department is doing all that they can to ensure students, alumni and local residents are making their way down to BB&T Arena to cheer on the Norse—including a new promotion that will send students home with $1,000.

Men’s basketball releases regular season schedule

The NKU men’s basketball team put the final touches on their 2018-19 season schedule on Wednesday afternoon. The schedule, which features 17 regular-season home games at BB&T Arena, will start on Tuesday, Oct. 30 when the Norse host Division III rival Thomas More in their only exhibition match of the season, followed by their regular season kick-off matchup against Wilmington College at home on Tuesday, Nov. 6.
NKU drew its second-largest crowd of the season Thursday as the Norse defeated Green Bay.
