Men’s Soccer advances on penalty kicks

The Northern Kentucky University Men’s Soccer team didn’t score a goal in the second round of the NCAA Division II Tournament, but found a way to win as it claimed the Midwest Regional Title on penalty kicks 4-3 over Lewis Nov. 16 in Kansas City, Mo.

Senior Tony Ray notched the fourth penalty kick to adavnce the Norse to the quarterfinals.

NKU (16-2-3) will face Millersville for the chance to move to the national semi-finals in Tampa, Fl. The game will be on Nov. 22 or 23 and will be decided at a later time. Millersville won the Atlantic Region, defeating Slippery Rock 1-0.
