The Northern Kentucky University Men’s Soccer team needed more than a goal to win this time, but defeated Bellarmine 3-2 Nov. 7 in Kansas City, Mo.

Sophomore forward Steven Beattie netted two goals for the Norse, to set a new school record of goals in a season with 20, according to NKU Sports Information Web site.

NKU will face the No. 1 seeded Rockhurst for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship game in Kansas City. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Rockhurst defeated Drury in a shootout 5-4, after not scoring a goal in regulation or overtime.
