The Northern Kentucky University’s Volleyball team opened its season with a come-from-behind victory over Central Oklahoma Aug. 29 at the University of Tampa Classic.

It was not an easy first match of the season as the Lady Norse (1-0) rallied back from a 2-to-1 game deficit to win their first match of the year.

Senior opposite hitter Kelsey Wesaw and sophomore middle hitter Kim Nemcek each had 19 kills on the night for NKU.

The Lady Norse will now face some of the powerhouses of Division-II Volleyball as they will take on No. 9 Florida Southern and No. 7 Tampa Aug. 30.
