Wednesday, Jan. 21
Women’s basketball went on the road to face IU-Indy, losing 75-70. Maddie Moody led the Norse in scoring after a hot start, finishing with 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and a block. Karina Bystry started out slowly in the first half, only playing nine minutes. She had a big second half, finishing with 18 points. 13 of those came in the fourth quarter alone. Abby Wolterman recorded a double-double, scoring a career-high 17 points along with 11 rebounds against her former team. Mya Meredith played all over the floor for the Norse, finishing with ten points, seven rebounds, a career-high six assists and a season-high four steals.
Friday, Jan. 23
Women’s tennis dropped their first game of the year against Western Kentucky 6-1. Sydney Zakic was the only Norse to grab her first singles win of the year, taking down her opponent in three sets.

Men’s volleyball got its first-ever program win against in-state foe Thomas More, 3-0. Drew Palmer led the Norse in kills with seven, also recording a pair of aces, a pair of blocks and three digs. Adam Blair had six kills on seven attacks, while Ryan Peterson had six kills on nine attacks. Nick Whitley and Kyle Saurer shared setter duties, with Whitley recording 18 assists and four digs, while Saurer had 16 assists and two digs. NKU posted an attacking line of 45-10-82 to TMU’s 26-13-67.
Saturday, Jan. 24
Men’s and women’s track and field compete in the MoJoe Invite, with the women placing first and the men placing second.
Women’s side: Meredith Goff won the 60m run, finishing in a time of 7.77. Kierra Morris followed her up with a second-place finish in 8.16 seconds. Joi Bradley won the 200m run, finishing in 27.64. Olivia Kennedy ran a 58.80 in the 400m run, winning the race. Katlyn Pham followed her up in second place, running a 1:01.92. Erica Durst won the 800m run, running a 2:21.41. Jade Stinson finished in second, running a 2:25.22. Grace Biddle ran a 5:14.52 mile, first among collegiate competitors. Maggie Foust took the 3000m run, finishing in 10:21.76. Brittany Arnold followed her up with a run of 10:28.57. Lacey Klare and Sierra Kendall finished neck and neck in the 60m hurdles, with Klare finishing in 9.14 and Kendall running a 9.16. Madison Neary and Ava Ranly both crossed 1.55m in the high jump, splitting the title. Bailey Luebchow won the pole vault, recording a best mark of 3.50. Kierra Morris won the long jump with a best mark of 5.50 on her final attempt. Lizzie Casey took the triple jump crown with a best mark of 10.05 meters. Alexandra Newman won the shot put with a best throw of 11.51 on her fourth attempt.
Men’s side: Riley Shelton ran a 51.33 in the 400m run, winning the event. Nathan Ruth won the 800m run in 1:59.81, while Jacob Line followed closely behind with a 2:00.36 time. Osayi Ogbebor won the 60m hurdles, finishing in 8.59 seconds, while Brenden Athan finished in second at 8.60 seconds. Ogbebor also took the high jump crown, along with Micah Ward, who both topped out at 1.90 meters. Ward also finished second in the long jump, leaping 6.03m on his final go. Zain Lowery won the triple jump with a best mark of 13.80 on his final attempt. Gregory Beard finished second in the mile, running a 4:22.30. Aaron Silva finished in third place in the 200m run, running a 23.64. Summit Northrup ran a 9:17.35 in the 300m run, finishing third among collegiate competitors.
Men’s and women’s swimming had their first meet of the year against Bellarmine, with the men getting their first-ever program win.

Women’s basketball lost to Purdue Fort Wayne in overtime, 97-91. Karina Bystry led the Norse with 35 points on 11-21 shooting, 4-9 shooting from three and 9-10 shooting from the free throw line. She also had five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Mya Meredith dropped 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, two steals and two blocks. Maddie Moody had 11 points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocks. Kamora Morgan finished with 11 points off the bench, also grabbing four rebounds. Taysha Rushton dropped ten points with a pair of assists.
Men’s basketball lost on the road to Wright State 88-80. Dan Gherezgher led NKU with 30 career-high points on great efficiency, shooting 12-17 from the field. He also grabbed three rebounds and dished out a pair of assists. LJ Wells had 14 points on 5-7 shooting. Donovan Oday dropped 14 off the bench, also grabbing four rebounds. Tae Dozier had ten points, five rebounds and a pair of steals. Shawn Nelson played a season-high 22 minutes, recording six points and two rebounds.

- Men’s and women’s track and field will compete in the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky., at noon.
- Men’s and women’s swim teams have a meet against Transylvania in Lexington, Ky.
- Women’s tennis will go up against Louisville on the road at 3 p.m.
- Men’s volleyball will play its first-ever ranked opponent, Lincoln Memorial in Harrogate, Tenn., at 6 p.m.
- Men’s basketball will take on Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Mich. at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 31
- Men’s and women’s track and field will compete in the Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Ky., at noon
- Men’s volleyball will stay in Harrogate, Tenn., to take on Belmont Abbey at noon.
- Women’s basketball will play a home game against Cleveland State at 1 p.m.

- Stunt will take on St. Mary’s (TX) at 1:30 p.m. and Mercyhurst at 7:15 p.m. in Lexington, Ky., for their first competitions of the season.
- Men’s basketball will stay on the road to take on Oakland in Rochester, Mich., at 3 p.m.
