Wednesday, Jan. 14
Women’s basketball kept its winning streak alive against Milwaukee, 63-55. Karina Bystry again led the Norse in scoring, finishing with 20 points, also adding six rebounds. Bystry shot 11-13 from the free-throw line. Mya Meredith recorded a double-double, scoring 11 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Taysha Rushton also had 11 points, grabbing five rebounds. Abby Wolterman grabbed ten rebounds, also scoring six points. Jamaya Thomas had eight points on 3-4 shooting. Maddie Moody had four points with seven rebounds.
Thursday, Jan. 15
Men’s basketball won big against Detroit Mercy, 96-71. LJ Wells had a career night, finishing with 35 points, seven rebounds and three assists on 11-15 shooting from the field and 2-3 shooting from deep. Dan Gherezgher had a quality night, going for 15 points, six rebounds and three assists. Donovan Oday had 15 off the bench, also adding a pair of blocks and a steal. Kael Robinson scored ten points and grabbed four rebounds.
Friday, Jan. 16
Men’s volleyball lost its first-ever match against Saint Francis, 3-1. Will McElveen led the Norse with 13 kills, three blocks and three digs. Matt Cosgrove, Juanmarco Diaz and Griffin Wheatley all posted eight kills. Diaz had the highest hitting percentage of any Norse with .600, also leading the team in digs with eight. Nick Whitley recorded 38 assists on the night along with five digs. Saint Francis outhit the Norse .330-.295 in the match, as the Red Flash posted a team attacking line of 48-15-100 while NKU hit 51-20-105.
Saturday, Jan. 17
Women’s basketball won their seventh-straight against Wright State, 82-56. Taysha Rushton led NKU in scoring with 17 points on 5-11 shooting and 3-7 shooting from behind the arc. Rushton also had six assists and four rebounds. Karina Bystry put up 15 points on 6-11 shooting with seven rebounds and three steals. Abby Wolterman dropped 14 points on 7-13 shooting with five rebounds. Maddie Moody grabbed another double-double, scoring 11 points while grabbing 13 rebounds. Mia Jordan had ten points with three assists and two rebounds. Jordan knocked down a pair of threes, going 2-4 from behind the arc.
Men’s volleyball lost their second match to Saint Francis, 3-1. Will McElveen led the match in kills with 17; he also had four digs in the match. Juanmarco Diaz had another all-around game, going for ten kills on a .348 percentage with nine digs. Ryan Peterson posted an attacking line of 8-3-13 with a pair of blocks. Nick Whitley had 30 assists, a pair of aces and four digs. Trace Klausing got the start at libero and played all four sets with 11 digs.
Men’s basketball falls to Robert Morris 92-89, even with late heroics. Donovan Oday had a career night, dropping 38 points four rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal. LJ Wells finished with 18 points and eight rebounds on the night. Wells also had three assists, a block, and a steal. Dan Gherezgher dropped 15 points with seven rebounds and three assists. Tae Dozier stuffed the stat sheet with 15 points, six rebounds, five assists, four blocks, and a steal.

- Women’s tennis plays their first match of the year against Western Kentucky in Bowling Green, Ky., at 2 p.m.
- Men’s volleyball goes up against in-state foe Thomas More at home at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 24
- Men’s and women’s track and field compete in the MoJoe Invite in Cincinnati, OH, at 10 a.m.
- Men’s and women’s swimming have their first meet of the year against Bellarmine at Scott High School
- Women’s basketball goes up against Purdue Fort Wayne at home at 1 p.m.
- Men’s volleyball remains home to take on Wabash College at 5 p.m.
- Men’s basketball goes up against Wright State in Dayton, OH, at 7 p.m.
