Monday, Nov. 24
Men’s basketball won against EKU 82-71. The Norse had a balanced scoring effort, with four players recording 14-plus points in the game. Dan Gherezgher dropped 19 points, leading the team as he had four rebounds and dished out four assists. Donovan Oday again scored in double figures, putting up 18 off the bench. He went 4-7 from the field and 8-9 from the free-throw line, grabbing four rebounds. Kael Robinson went for 17 points. He grabbed four boards, recorded two blocks and a steal. LJ Wells had his second double-double of the season, going for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Wells went 6-7 from the floor and also recorded three steals.
Tuesday, Nov. 25
Women’s basketball lost to Stetson in the Music City Classic, 89-63. Maddie Moody led the Norse in scoring off the bench, going for 16 points and nine rebounds. Mia Jordan tallied NKU’s first double-double of the season, scoring 10 and recording 12 rebounds. Noelle Hubert went 3-5 from distance, her second game this season with three made triples. Kylee Hunt dropped seven points with two rebounds and an assist in 16 minutes.
Wednesday, Nov. 26
Men’s basketball beat Wofford at home, 93-83. Donovan Oday had a season-high 27 points off the bench, going 7-11 from the field and 11-11 at the line. He also grabbed five rebounds, got a block and a steal. Dan Gherezgher put up 21 points, grabbing four rebounds. LJ Wells dropped 18 points and eight rebounds and had three blocks in the game. Donovan Rakotonanahary set career highs; he had nine points and two steals.
Women’s basketball beat Drake in the Music City Classic, 90-69. Karina Bystry bounced back with a 17-point performance, leading the Norse in the game. She went 4-8 from the field, 3-5 from three, and 6-7 from the free throw line. Kamora Morgan had a big game off the bench, dropping 14 points on 6-8 shooting, while grabbing four rebounds. Maddie Moody scored 12 points, grabbed four rebounds, recorded two blocks and a steal. Taysha Rushton had a big game off the bench with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists. Kylee Hunt scored ten points and grabbed four rebounds.
Saturday, Nov. 29
Men’s basketball beat Boston U. 74-65 at home. Dan Gherezgher led NKU with 23 points, going 8-20 from the field, and 4-11 from three. Donovan Oday went 10-13 from the free-throw line on a 16-point day. He also had three steals, three assists, and three rebounds. LJ Wells went for 14 points, going 5-10 from the field with five boards and two steals. Kael Robinson had 11 points and four rebounds, hitting a pair of threes.
Sunday, Nov. 30
Women’s basketball won in overtime against Southern Indiana, 77-71. Taysha Rushton led NKU with a 20-point performance off the bench, going 4-10 from three and 6-8 from the line. Karina Bystry went for 16 points, going 4-6 from deep on the day. She also grabbed five rebounds. Maddie Moody notched her first-career double-double, going for 15 points and 12 rebounds. She also had two steals. Mya Meredith had an 11-point, five-rebound, five-assist, three-steal performance. Her five assists tied a career high. Noelle Hubert drained three triples, going 3-6 from downtown.
