Tuesday, Oct. 14
Women’s golf finished ninth in the University of Dayton Invitational. Kenna Jenkinson scored 74-79-74 on the 71-par course, totaling seven birdies and an eagle in round three. Overall, she finished +14 at the tournament, good for a T-15 finish. Eva Maley displayed consistency throughout her three rounds, going 76-75-76. She totaled six birdies, with two in each round. Like Jenkinson, she also finished +14 overall, a top-15 finish. Other scoring players at the tournament were Cammy Reed (+35, 63rd) and Lilly Baumann (+43, 71st). The Norse also competed with Gianna White (+36, 65th) as an individual.
Thursday, Oct. 16
Women’s soccer took down Purdue Fort Wayne 1-0. Northern Kentucky dominated the shot battle 26-9, won the shot on goal battle 13-2, and took the corner battle 9-1. Forward Lilly Yordy’s penalty kick was the difference in the match in the 75th minute. Keeper Megan Gessner recorded two saves in the win.
Friday, Oct. 17
Men’s and women’s cross country competed in the Angel Mounds Invitational and the Jenna Strong Invitational.
Angel Mounds Invitational: the men placed sixth and the women placed 12.
Men’s side: Natnael Weldemichael led NKU with a fifth-place finish in 24:17.62. Colton O’Hara followed in sixth at 24:19.95. Stetson Childress placed 61st in 25:38.39. Jacob Line finished 68th in 25:33.30. Brady Messer rounded out the Norse top five, finishing 68th in 26:15.61.
Women’s side: Maggie Foust led the Norse women with a 36th-place finish in 22:17.88 (6K). Brittany Arnold finished 47th in 22:38.94. Grace Biddle placed 79th in 23:28.43. Macie Radcliffe finished 95th in 23:50.96. Kaitlyn Strange rounded out NKU’s top five with a 109th-place finish in 24:05.82.
Jenna Strong Invitational: the women placed ninth, and the men did not place.
Women’s side: Allie Atchley led the Norse women in the 5K with a 45th-place finish in 20:24.7. Emmelise Greely finished just behind in 46th at 20:24.9. Abigail Slife placed 65th in 20:53.0. Annabelle Hageman finished 73rd in 21:05.0. Chloe Johnson rounded out the top five in 81st place at 21:15.7. Lauren Mang finished 108th in 22:25.9.
Men’s side: Robert Wilke clocked a time of 30:55.1. Nicholas Costas finished in 31:04.5.
Women’s volleyball beat Robert Morris 3-0. Sydney Bray and Ava Hoying paced the offense with 10 kills each. Bray recorded a double-double, adding 11 digs while hitting .421 on the night. Abby Pickard dished out 34 assists to guide the Norse attack. Lucy Cluxton led the defensive effort with a team-high 13 digs. Kendall Hopewell led the team with six blocks, all assists.
Saturday, Oct. 18
Women’s volleyball won 3-2 after being down 2-0 against Robert Morris. Allison Risley led the offense with a match-high 20 kills and added 18 digs for a double-double. Sydney Bray also posted a double-double with 18 kills and 21 digs. Setter Abby Pickard had 55 assists and contributed 19 digs. Libero Lucy Cluxton recorded 20 digs and added three service aces. Ivey Stocks tallied eight block assists and one solo block.
Men’s soccer took down IU-Indy 2-0. After a scoreless first half, Caleb Frakes came out of the half ready, scoring in the 56th minute. He scored his first career goal off an assist from Joshua Cline. Jason Purks added on in the 71st minute with his first goal of the season. NKU totaled eight shots, with two shots on goal, which both found the back of the net. Keeper Alex Kron earned his fourth win of the season and second shutout, as the Norse defense held the Jaguars without a shot on target. Both teams finished even in corner kicks at four apiece.
Sunday, Oct. 19
Women’s soccer wins against Detroit Mercy 1-0. Northern Kentucky won the shot battle 12-6 and the shot on goal battle 6-5 in the match. NKU keeper Megan Gessner recorded another clean sheet with five saves. The Norse also won the corner battle, 8-2. NKU scored its lone goal directly on a corner kick, as Natalie Newman was able to bend one past the Titan keeper to put NKU on the board. Emilie Doersching led the Norse with three shots, all on goal. Newman recorded a pair of shots in the match.

- Women’s Triathlon will compete in the East Regional in Troutman, NC.
- Women’s soccer will go up against Youngstown State at home at 12 p.m.
- Women’s volleyball will go up against Purdue Fort Wayne at home at 2 p.m.
Men’s soccer faces off against Oakland at home at 3 p.m.
