Tuesday, Sept. 23
Men’s soccer falls to Xavier 2-1. Norse defender Steven Boaghe Braniste scored his first goal of the 2025 season in the 90th minute. A corner kick from Carlos Merce found Braniste, who headed it in. Xavier won the shot battle, 10-9 and 7-1 on goal. NKU won the corner kick battle 4-1. NKU keeper Alex Kron made five saves in the match.
Thursday, Sept. 25
Women’s soccer beat Green Bay on the road 1-0. Erykah Cornett scored the lone goal of the game in the 57th minute. Sophia Kapszukiewicz threw a perfect long ball to set up Cornett’s game-winner, Kapszukiewicz’s second assist of the season. Keeper Megan Gessner earned her fourth clean sheet of the season, saving three shots in the match. Shay Shipley notched her first start of the season, recording a pair of shots with one on goal. Emilie Doersching also had a shot on goal for NKU. The Norse were outshot, 9-7, and both sides drew on the corners with five apiece.
Friday, Sept. 26
Women’s volleyball beat Cleveland State at home 3-1. Sydney Bray was the leader for the Norse; she finished with a double-double, 16 kills and 15 digs. Bray hit a remarkable .538 hitting percentage. Allison Risley posted 13 kills on a .281 hitting percentage, serving up four aces and recording seven digs. Abby Pickard tallied 36 assists, leading all players. Ava Hoying and Ivey Stocks were anchors for the Norse on both ends of the ball.
Saturday, Sept. 27
Women’s volleyball won against Cleveland State 3-0. Allison Risley racked up 15 kills on a .361 hitting percentage. She also added 11 digs, marking her third double-double of the season. Ivey Stocks finished with a perfect ten attacks on as many attempts. Stocks became the first player in all of NCAA Division I to record a perfect hitting percentage in a single match (min. ten attempts) in the 2025 season. Stocks also had three total blocks, including one solo. Ava Hoying (seven kills), Sydney Bray (six kills, 11 digs) and Kendall Hopewell (six kills, three blocks) all put up great performances. Abby Pickard tallied 34 assists, 14 digs and three aces. Lucy Cluxton finished with 13 digs and three aces.
Men’s soccer ends level against Cleveland State at home 1-1. Oliver Eckhardt scored the lone goal for the Norse, putting one in after Maddox Behnfeldt’s shot was blocked on a free kick. The goal marked the first of Eckhardt’s Norse career. Steven Boaghe Braniste recorded two shots, with one shot on goal. Carlos Merce recorded a shot on goal. Cleveland State outshot the Norse, 12-9, in the match.
Sunday, Sept. 28
Women’s soccer took on Milwaukee, losing 3-2. Erkyah Cornett scored a goal in the 47th minute off another throw-in from Sophia Kapszukiewicz. Meghan Belrose tied things up in the 55th minute, but once again, Kapszukiewicz threw a perfect ball. Milwaukee put the game away in the 70th minute. Milwaukee won the shot battle, 22-14, though the two sides finished even in shots on goal with seven each.

- Women’s tennis competes in the D1 Showdown in Richmond
- Women’s triathlon will compete in the Prairie State Collegiate Cup in DeWitt, Ill.
- Women’s and men’s track and field will compete in the Swags Louisville XC Classic in Louisville at 9 a.m.
- Women’s soccer faces off against Robert Morris at home at 1 p.m.
- Women’s volleyball will go up against Youngstown State on the road at 1 p.m.
- Men’s soccer goes up against Detroit Mercy in Detroit at 6 p.m.
