Set three in the women’s volleyball game against Cleveland State. The crowd is packed with volleyball alumni, as it is the 50th anniversary celebration of the program. NKU leads 24-18 after a huge kill by Allison Risley.
Risley is back up to serve, she was successful three times before. She gets into her rhythm, bouncing the ball off the floor. The whistle blows, she gets ready, she jumps and hits the ball.
The volleyball goes over the net, and Cleveland State players scramble, two players go for the ball; they both have their eyes on the ball, but it hits the ground.
Risley jumps up in the air as the crowd goes wild, the Norse win the set 25-18, notching the game 3-0. This win pushes them to 2-0 in conference play and an overall record of 6-7.
In set one, it was all NKU, as they won 25-16. The second set was even more dominant by the Norse, who went on multiple huge runs, their biggest being 6-0. In the third set CSU kept it closer, but once again, the Norse just kept going. They went on a 5-0 run in the middle of the set, then finished out the game on a 4-0 run.

Risley put on a show for the alum, as she stuffed the stat sheet. She had 15 kills on a .361 hitting percentage. She also had 11 digs and an ace, marking her third double-double of the season.
Ivey Stocks had another great match, as this time she was perfect ten of ten on attacks. Stocks became the first player in all of NCAA Division I to record a perfect hitting percentage in a single match (min. ten attempts) in the 2025 season. She also added on three total blocks, including one solo.
Abby Pickard set up the Norse with 34 assists, she also had 14 digs and three aces.
Ava Hoying, Sydney Bray and Kendall Hopewell also had great offensive and defensive performances for NKU.
The women were all around dominant, they led in every major statistical category; 47 kills, nine aces, six blocks, 44 assists and 60 digs. They also hit the ball efficiently with a percentage of .337.
