After a strong offseason of recruiting, Northern Kentucky University Head Coach Darrin Horn has his eyes on Lima Senior High School guard Wille Foster, who looks to be a major addition for the Norse in the 2026 season.
Foster chose NKU over offers from Eastern Kentucky University and Cal State Fullerton, officially committing on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
“I made the decision on Monday and told my family. I just committed to the coaches yesterday in a phone call,” Foster told LimaOhio in an interview. “They said they were super pumped to have me, and I can’t wait to get there.”
Known for his explosive vertical and highlight-reel dunks, Foster is considered one of the most exciting recruits in the 2026 class. He has already earned First Team All-Toledo City League, Second Team All-District 8 and Second Team All-Northwest Ohio honors.
But Foster’s game goes beyond dunking. He averaged 15.6 points, five rebounds and 2.2 assists during his junior season at Lima Senior, showing versatility on both ends of the court.
“I can shoot the ball pretty well. I’ve got a great dribble and just being a leader,” Foster told LimaOhio in an interview.
This summer, Foster played with the Wildcat Select AAU team, known for its talent pool and social media presence. Alongside top recruits Taylen Kinney and Adam Oumiddoch in the 2026 class, he showcased his skills at a high level and even earned a spot on the ESPN Top Ten.
With Foster committed, NKU continues to build momentum for the future. His athleticism, versatility and leadership will be key as the Norse aim to compete at the top of the Horizon League.
For Coach Horn, landing Foster isn’t just about points, but about the energy and culture he brings to the program. For Foster, it marks the beginning of a new chapter.
“My goal is to get to the NBA. This is the next step there,” Foster told LimaOhio in an interview.
