Tuesday, Sept. 17
- Men’s soccer ended in a tie against No. 24 ranked Bowling Green 1-1. The Norse held Bowling Green off the board until the 35th minute, when Trace Terry netted the opening goal for the Falcons. This game was a defensive battle between both teams, with NKU only having three shots on goal the whole game. Ali Taleb came up huge for the Norse in the 58th minute, equalizing the game.
Thursday, Sept. 19
- Women’s volleyball beat Xavier in the Groen Family McDonald’s Invitational winning 3-2. Joy Banks posted a career-best day defensively with 28 digs, leading all players in the match. Banks also added 14 kills, three service aces and a pair of blocks .Ava Hoying had her best night of the season with 16 kills, leading all players. Lucy Cluxton’s 18 digs marked her ninth straight match with 10+ digs. Allison Risley added 14 kills, tying Banks for second on the team.
- Women’s soccer lost to Milwaukee 2-0. Milwaukee controlled much of the action over the first 45 minutes of play. The Panthers held a large advantage in shots (11 to three) and corners (Seven to one). Despite the edge in play, the match was tied at 0-0 at the half. The Norse turned up in the second half with four shots in the first four minutes of the period, which included two shots on goal. The Panthers would score in the 60th and 64th minute, winning the game 2-0. Lilly Yordy finished with a game-high five shot attempts, and Sofia Wilmes recorded another shot on goal.
Friday, Sept. 20
- Women’s and men’s cross country both placed third on the IU Indy’s Jaguar Invitational. Natnael Weldemichael won the individual title on the men’s side as he crossed the line first with a time of 25:09.58. This finish made it a perfect two-for-two in races for Weldemichael. Colton O’Hara finished third-place at 25:36.42. It was the second race this season that the junior placed third overall. The men’s top five was rounded out by Stetson Childress (12th, 26:30.42), Brayden Rice (23rd, 27:22.84) and Summit Northrup (32nd, 27:47.65). On the women’s side, Grace Biddle placed second overall with a time of 18:25.66. Freshman Brittany Arnold finished fifth at 18:59.08. The rest of the Norse top seven all finished in the top-19 of the race, led by Julia Verhoff (12th, 19:59.02), Allie Atchley (14th, 20:20.80), Carlie Condit (15th, 20:27.74), Macie Radcliffe (17th, 20:38.67) and Kaitlyn Strange (19th, 20:43.18).
- Women’s triathlon came away with the first podium finish in program history, finishing in second place at Millikin University in the Splash & Dash. Josie Timmers led the Norse women with a fourth place overall finish, completing the 400m swim in 8:10, the one-mile run in 9:45 for an overall time of 17:55. Finishing in sixth place for the Norse was Sophie McEwen completing the 400m swim in 8:49, and the one-mile run in 9:16 for an overall time of 18:05. Kelly Villanueva completed the 400m swim in 8:33, and the one- mile run in 12:23 for an overall finishing time of 20:56 and ninth place.
Saturday, Sept. 21
- Men’s soccer ended in a draw against Oakland 1-1. Oakland jumped on top in the 19th minute on a goal by Abdul Al-Rashed. NKU was held scoreless in the first half but held a 9-6 advantage in shots. Tyler Murphy’s equalizer brought the match level in the 59th minute. Despite allowing a goal, Nic Lemen finished with five saves.
- Women’s volleyball dominated Miami (OH) at home in Groen Family McDonald’s Invitational winning 3-0. Joy Banks continued her dominant start to the season with another double-double, her fourth in a row and sixth of the season. Lucy Cluxton’s 13 digs marked her 10th straight match with 10 plus digs. Sydney Bray led in kills with 11. The Norse finished with five blocks, led by Ivey Stocks’ three rejections. Lainey Green had the most assists for the Norse with 22 and zero errors.
Sunday, Sept. 22
- Women’s soccer won against Green Bay 3-1. Meghan Belrose got the scoring started with a goal in the 27th minute. Lydia Self and Lilly Yordy teamed up for the Norse’s second goal as Self headed home a perfect ball from Yordy off a set piece in the 52nd minute of the game. Kylie Anderson picked up NKU’s third goal of the match in the 56th minute. Green Bay was able to get on the board with a goal of its own in the 78th minute. The Norse played a really effective offense having nine shots on goal out of 18 shots.

- Men’s Triathlon is at the Mid-East Collegiate Triathlon Conference Championships (MECTC) in Monticello, Indiana
- Women’s golf is at the Butler Fall Invitational in Indianapolis
