During Saturday’s game against Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky University announced that adidas will be the official apparel, footwear and accessory brand of the Norse. The deal becomes effective July 1, 2016 and will run through the 2021 season.

“This is a great moment for Northern Kentucky athletics,” said Ken Bothof, athletic director for NKU. “Partnering with Adidas gives us the ability to outfit all 250 plus student athletes from head to toe with apparel, equipment and accessories from a world renowned and premier brand.”

Adidas, based in Portland, Oregon, provides jerseys and apparel for more than 100 colleges and universities including Indiana, Kansas and Louisville as well as having marketing agreements with the National Basketball Association, National Football League, Major League Baseball and Major League Soccer.

“Our mission is to make all athletes better and we’re excited to partner with Norse Athletics to execute their mission of preparing and empowering student athletes for competitive success,” said Jim Murphy, director of NCAA sports marketing for Adidas America.

“We look forward to outfitting Northern Kentucky’s 17 intercollegiate sports programs in our most innovative footwear, apparel, and uniforms,” Murphy said.
