ROCHESTER, Michigan — The NKU women’s basketball team had four players score in double figures Thursday in a 75-71 victory over Oakland.

Kasey Uetrecht led the Norse with 21 points. She also had 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Christine Roush knocked down four threes and scored 16 points.

Sarah Kinch added 14 points and 6 rebounds for the Norse, while Molly Glick chipped in 10 points.

NKU opened the fourth quarter with a 10-point lead, but Oakland erased it with a 10-0 run to tie the game at 59 with 6:37 remaining.

Uetrecht answered for the Norse, going on a personal 7-0 run to give NKU a 66-59 lead with 5:17 left.

Oakland threatened in the final two minutes, getting the deficit down to three points. However, free throws by Uetrecht and Kinch put the game away and gave the Norse its second Horizon League win (10-5 overall, 2-2 in Horizon League).

Olivia Nash led Oakland with 24 points and 14 rebounds.

NKU concludes its three-game road trip noon Saturday at Detroit before returning home 7 p.m. Thursday against Green Bay. Both games will be televised on ESPN3.
