MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The men’s soccer team closed the regular season Friday with a 4-0 loss at Milwaukee.

With the loss, the Norse became the three-seed for this week’s Horizon League tournament. They will host Wright State 7 p.m. tonight at NKU Soccer Stadium.

A win tonight would send the Norse to Illinois-Chicago for a Thursday semifinal matchup with Oakland. Monday’s match will be televised on ESPN3.

Friday’s regular-season finale didn’t go as the Norse had hoped.

NKU conceded twice in the first 20 minutes. Declan Rodriguez scored in the 14th minute to give Milwaukee a 1-0 lead. Francesco Saporito would score three minutes later to make it 2-0.

Rodriguez would score just 64 seconds after halftime to expand the Milwaukee lead to 3-0. Peter Raymonds would close the scoring in the 79th minute.

Milwaukee outshot NKU 13-10, including 6-2 in shots on goal. Agustin Rey and Jonathan Stahr combined for the clean sheet for the Panthers.

Kobie Qualah and Bastian Beckers led the Norse with two shots each. Diego Martinez and Nick Perez each had shots on goal.
