BATAVIA, Ohio — Allison Leigeb was tournament medalist Monday, leading the NKU women’s golf team to a win in the NKU Fall Classic at Elks Run Golf Club.

Leigeb shot rounds of 75, 73 and 76 to finish 11-over-par 224. That score is just two strokes off of the school record.

Ryleigh Waltz was third, shooting 19-over. Sarah Kellam finished fourth in 23-over and MacKenzie Laumann was fifth in 24-over.

NKU finished 41 shots ahead of Dayton. NKU shot rounds of 316, 304 and 319 for a 939 (87-over). Emma Wachtel of Cincinnati broke up an all-NKU top five with a second place finish.

The golf team will be in action again September 21-22 at the Cardinal Classic at Ball State.
