The women’s soccer team advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament by defeating Bellarmine on Oct. 13.
The Norse won the game, 1-0, on sophomore Megan Frye’s golden goal in the 108th minute. The Norse advance to play Grand Valley State for the Midwest Region Championship.
After winning the first-round match, the men’s team was eliminated in the second round.
The men defeated Northwood, 2-0, in Kansas City on Oct. 11. Two days later on Oct. 13, the men’s season and quest to repeat as champions came to an end when No. 6 Rockhurst defeated the Norse, 2-0.
