Sandra “Sandy” Easton passed away on Monday, August 26, after fighting cancer for several months.

Originally from Frankfort, Easton spent many years as a leader at NKU and the Northern Kentucky region.

While working at NKU, Easton served as the Dean of the College of Business, the Assistant Provost, and the Acting Provost.

From 1983 to 1999, Easton served as a member and the first female chairperson of the Northern Kentucky Convention and Visitors Bureau. She also was a founding member of the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky Convention Center until she passed away.

Easton received undergraduate degrees in business administration and education from Eastern Kentucky University, a Master’s Degree in counseling from the University of Cincinnati, and an MBA from Xavier University.
