Obama leads Romney in mock election
As of Oct. 5, Democrat Barack Obama is leading Republican Mitt Romney, 59 percent to 34 percent in Northern Kentucky University’s mock election, iVote. Over 500 students, faculty and staff have participated. The online straw poll opened for voting last month and will remain open until Election Day, Nov. 6. Any NKU student, faculty or staff member is encouraged to vote.

Orientation leaders application available

Healthy U tasting table Friday in Student Union
NKU Dining and NKU Wellness are hosting a Healthy U tasting table Friday in the Student Union. From 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., there will be a tasting table set up in the Northern Fare Food Court featuring Healthy U items from Bangin’ Burritos, Chef Yan, Mondo Subs and Say Cheese. Major/Minor Fair coming up
Northern Kentucky University’s annual Major/Minor Fair will be Oct. 25 in the Student Union Ballroom from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The fair is an opportunity for students to explore a wide variety of academic options offered by departments and offices on campus by speaking with faculty, staff and student representatives.

Honors program conducting research survey
Northern Kentucky University Honors is conducting a survey to determine the kinds of structures and spaces honors students believe will be designated for honors use in the U.S. in the future. The results will be incorporated into a monograph published by the National Collegiate Honors Council. All collected information is confidential. Participants must be 18 years old to take the survey.
