Electrical problems has caused Northern Kentucky University to close campus for the evening.

All classes are cancelled.

University Center was evacuated by a janitor at 5:30 p.m. due to the smell of smoke, but students and faculty were soon allowed back in the building.

University Police said no immediate danger was present. They don’t yet know what caused the electrical problems.

The Northerner will update this story as more information becomes available.
