The Bank of Kentucky Center has plenty to offer Northern Kentucky University students for the 2009 Spring semester. From the Monster Truck Nationals to Sesame Street Live, there are plenty events to choose from to keep any busy college student sane.
First up, we have the Monster Truck Nationals Jan. 16 and 17.
Next, we have the Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry concert on Feb. 23. This is followed by the Ringling Bros and Barnum and Bailey: Over the Top on Friday, Feb. 27 and 28. Don’t get discouraged if you can’t make this particular performance, because you will get one more chance March 1.
If none of these events have interested you so far, don’t panic! The BOKC has a few more things in store for you. AMA Arenacross series will be making appearances from March 20-22.
Maybe all of these events seem a bit too extreme for some, and for those who feel that way, the BOKC is making it up to you by bringing gospel singer Bill Gaither and friends to the arena March 28.
If you need a laugh, come out and watch Larry the Cable Guy on April 2.
Now, our last, but certainly not least, bit of entertainment. Are you ready? It’s Sesame Street Live: When Elmo Grows Up! Luckily for all of us adults, Elmo will be gracing us with his presence for four days. His takeover runs from Thursday, April 23-26.For times and tickets, go to www.bankofkentuckycenter.com. Go to the Events and Tickets link and click on ‘Get Tickets’ next to each event. This will take you to ticketmaster.com, or you could visit the box office at the BOKC itself located right here on campus. As mentioned earlier, the BOKC has plenty to offer NKU students for the semester. However, there are currently no discounts for students. Don’t give up hope though, perhaps there will be better luck next time around.
