FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) – Former country music singer Jack Reno, who recorded seven albums and performed at the Grand Ole Opry, has died. He was 72.
The Kentucky Enquirer reports that Reno appeared at the Grand Ole Opry six times and performed with country music legends such as Waylon Jennings and Dolly Parton.
The newspaper reports that Reno helped start a country music radio station after his singing career.
Stith Funeral Home says Reno died at his home in Florence on Nov. 1. The newspaper reports he died of brain cancer.
Reno charted a dozen songs between 1967 and 1974, including the No. 10 “Repeat After Me.” His other hits included “Hitchin’ A Ride” and “I Want One.”
