The Neenah School District has banned its elementary school students from bringing sweets to give to classmates and now requires them to bring fruit, vegetables and other healthy snacks. According to 620wtmj.com, the students are barred from bringing the sweets as treats for birthday parties.

In protest to the rise in her energy bills, Anne Myall, a 72-year-old widow, now lights her house by candlelight. Rather than spending her evenings watching television, she now entertains herself by listening to a battery-powered radio. Myall has also given up hot water and hot food, according to dailymail.co.uk.

Donald Hippo, a Logan Township man, walking by his house was hit and knocked to the ground after a deer flew through the air and hit him. The deer was sent flying by a driver who hit the deer while driving his truck along the road that runs parallel to Hippo’s home.
