Northern Kentucky University is continuously improving its image, which is resulting in students transfering from what might have been considered more prestigous schools in years past, according to The Kentucky Enquirer. “We’ve had to work at it (keeping those students),” UC President Nancy Zimpher said.

Neither McCain or Obama are likely to campaign in Kentucky due to the lack of any real advantage in lobbying in the extremely Republican state, according to nky.com. “Each county is taking care of their own initiative,” said Campbell County Chairwoman Sue Ort.

The Weird

Bruce Montle of Pasco County, Fla. was forced to call the police Sept. 21 after his girlfriend, Celeste Lagrant repeatedly slapped, punched, scratched, and threw knives at him. The altercation was initated by Montle proposing to Lagrant, according to tbo.com.
