Gagai named Player of the Week

Northern Kentucky University Men’s Basketball freshman Dennis Gagai was named Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Week.

In two games, one against Southern Indiana and one against Kentucky Wesleyan, Gagai averaged 22 points and had a 72.7 shooting percentage from the floor, including 10-for-16 3-pointers.

Gagai leads the GLVC in 3-point shooting at 56.5 percent and is third in the GLVC in field goal percentage at 60.8 percent.

Baseball picked to win East

The NKU Baseball Team has been predicted to win the Great Lakes Valley Conference East Division for this upcoming season.

The Norse received four of the possible six first-place votes from the league’s coaches. The team finished 27-26 overall last year and 22-16 in GLVC play.
