Florence police shot a 17-year-old boy after he refused to drop a knife, wcpo.com reported Dec. 2. The officers reported to the home to check on a domestic disturbance, according to police. The boy is in stable condition, a friend of the family said.

The weird

A Jackson, Miss., man’s life was saved by his wedding ring, www.kentucky.com reported Dec. 2. Two men were robbing the man’s store when a shot was fired and the man used his hand as a shield. The ring on his finger deflected the bullet, police said.
