Thanks to a Boy Scout, senior citizens at Panorama Senior Citizens Apartments are enjoying a new garden, reported Oct. 14. The Dixie Heights High School senior helped plant six garden boxes at the apartments, earning the Eagle rank, the highest rank in the boy scouts.


A Newport, Ky., man escaped from the Campbell County Jail after kicking open a gate in the jail’s kitchen, reported Oct. 20. He is 6 foot 1 inch tall, weighs 180 pounds, has short black hair, brown eyes and a cross tattoo on his right arm, police said.


A recent study at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, U.K., suggests the use of foul language can add a positive atmosphere to the workplace and help relieve stress, reported Oct. 18. A professor involved in the study did state, however, this did not include swearing in front of customers.
