The Women’s Golf Team had a strong showing at the Screaming Eagle Classic, Sept. 23 and 24 at the Cambridge Country Club in Evansville, Ind.

The Norse finished in second place, tied with the University of Indianapolis.

Junior Alicia Stauffacher shot a 10-over par, 154 to lead the Norse and finished second overall behind Southern Indiana golfer Tara Wiley.

Senior Alicia Lawrence (80-77 157) placed sixth. Sofie Rasmussen (79-80 159) shared eighth place, while Charity Evans (84-82 166) tied for 26th to round out the team scoring. Freshman Angela Lawrence (98-97 195) finished 75th in the 14-team event.

The second place finish is the best the Norse team has done this season.
