U.S. prosecutor, John David Roy Atchison, has been charged with interstate travel to have sex with a minor after allegedly having an ongoing Internet dialogue with a woman posing as the mother of a 5-year-old girl, FoxNews.com reported Sept. 18.

A Marion County, Fla. woman is suing Wal-Mart because she says sandals she purchased there caused her feet to swell, blister and scab, reported WFTV.com Sept. 13. The woman alleges that Wal-Mart sent her a letter stating their Chinese supplier would call her or she could call them. The woman started a Web site about the issue with the sandals and the sandals have now been pulled from store shelves, Wal-Mart officials said.

In Delcambre, La., an ordinance passed in June regarding wearing pants that exposed underwear in public, NYTimes.com reported Aug. 30. The fine is up to $500 or a possible six months in jail.
