The Good
A Covington boy who has Cerebral Palsy saved his family from a house fire, WCPO.com reported Sept. 2. After a TV in the family’s home blew up, the boy crawled outside and yelled for his grandfather, who was able, in turn, to wake up the boy’s father.
The Bad
Police arrested a Hamilton man for reckless homicide and vehicular manslaughter after they say he hit and killed a Middletown man on a motorcycle, Cincinnati.com reported Sept. 3. The Hamilton man allegedly had been trying to avoid a Fairfield police checkpoint when the crash occurred, police said.
The Weird
Dayton and Cincinnati public schools have already used some of their allotted snow days for this school year, WCPO.com reported Sept. 3. Although the days had been set aside to be used for cold weather situations, the extreme heat caused area schools to cancel classes in the first couple weeks of school.
