The Good, The Bad and The Weird

THE GOOD

Loveland, Ohio, plans to purchase a 10.5 acre farm and convert it into a park for its residents, The Cincinnati Enquirer reported April 9. For $800,000, residents will have more greenspace in its town, near one subdivision and another two planned ones. The farm’s conversion will begin next year.

THE BAD

A 20-year-old man will escape prison time for raping a 10-year-old girl because, the judge said, the girl looked like she was 16-years-old, the UK Telegraph reported April 5. The man’s only punishment is that he will have to register as a sex offender with police. The girl, who met the man in Haverford, Wales, wasn’t cooperative with police.

THE WEIRD

A Los Angeles man, who had been diagnosed with cancer in his left testicle, had to have it removed at a VA hospital. Unfortunately, surgeons accidentally removed his right, healthy testicle during the operation. They are suing the hospital for $200,000 in future healthcare costs.
