The Good, The Bad and The Weird

THE GOOD

British researchers are now saying that mud may improve moods and enhance immune systems, BBC News reported April 2. According to the scientists, bacteria from the soil stimulated serotonin production in mice and had lung cancer patients reporting more positive dispositions.

THE BAD

Educators are leaving out lessons involving the Holocaust and the Crusades so that they don’t offend children from various races or religions according to a study by the Historical Society, the London TimesOnline reported April 2. The study said that some teachers fear challenging versions of history kids may have learned at home.

THE WEIRD

Police have charged eight Clarkson University students for stealing alcohol from their own school, a New York ABC affiliate reported April 2. The students, all but one of whom were underage, allegedly took vodka, beer, wine, juice and water from their campus’ Special Events facility.
