After a disappointing loss to Bellarmine University Nov. 21, Northern Kentucky University Men’s Basketball Team bounced back with a convincing 86-61 win against Thomas More College (0-4) in Regents Hall Nov. 25. The game marked the 21st time in a row in the 35 times Thomas More and NKU have played. The Norse lead the all-time series 30-5 with the last Thomas More victory coming in the 1980-81 season when the Saints marched into Regents Hall and escaped with a 61-52 victory. Transfer senior Steven Wright led the Norse in scoring with 21 points. Senior James Cripe finished with 14 points. Junior shooting guard Mark Hawkins had a sensational performance including 3-5 from beyond the arc. He finished with a season high 13 points. Junior Harrison Morton provided the Norse with an all-around balanced performance with eight points, six rebounds and four assists. With the victory, the Norse improved to 3-1 in the season and gained some confidence for this week for two very talented opponents who will come to Regents Hall. The Norse will face Quincy University Nov. 30 at 7:45 p.m. and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Dec. 2 at 3:15 p.m.
