Musical Injection

With the haze of summer fading, it’s time to clear some room in the dome for all the important things like homework, tests, papers or all the shiny new music that came out this summer. Here’s a look at all the artists that didn’t take a summer break so you could have something to blast, sing, or dance to.

For a band that was signed by Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz’s Decaydance records before even playing its first show, instant stardom should be the icing on the group’s harlequin romance wedding cake. Combining sharp vocal hooks with dance friendly, electronically charged pop punk and a flare for the roaring twenties’ theme and fashion, Panic! has put a new meaning to fast track with 2005’s “A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out.” Think Fall Out Boy with a dash of techno and a theatre degree.
