In an attempt to cash in on the genre-satirizing trend started by the “Scary Movie” franchise, “Date Movie” directors Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer really missed the mark with this one. It is often common to lose freshness when using the same comedic tools over the course of many movies, but this pile was stale enough to make Leslie Nielsen look downright Shakespearean.
