An NKU professor is taking a painful and illuminating chapter from his own life and turning it into a small film.
Chris Strobel, assistant professor of communitions, was inspired to make a small film on Alzheimer’s when his father was recently diagnosed. “People really don’t know what Alzheimer’s really is,” said Strobel. “I want to help others understand more about the disease.”
The film will cost an estimated $50,000 or more. NKU has donated $10,000 to cover some costs, but much more is needed. Filming is set to start this summer.
If anyone is interested in learning more about the film, how they can help or how to make a donation, they can call Strobel at 572-1426.
Strobel sat down with WNTV and The Northerner in an interview about the film.
