In regards to the big uproar with the Northern Kentucky University students smoking, I believe that many people are overreacting.

The students and faculty who smoke don’t smoke right next to all the doors of the buildings.

We do not blow smoke in people’s faces. We smoke outside in the rain, snow and cold weather.

When students go to bars, do they complain about smoking? Who goes to a bar to drink and says, “I don’t like the smoke?” It’s like going to Montgomery Inn and saying “I hate ribs.” If you are a non-smoker then just stay away from us. Don’t go to bars, and please don’t say that we blow smoke in your face. Remember-we are outside, so you don’t even get secondhand smoke.
