In an article on the March 5 online edition of The Northerner, a member of College Republicans made a statement that Andy Hixson has not been fulfilling his duties in CR.

As president of College Republicans of NKU, I want to set the record straight.

First, it should make no difference to the SGA Senate Ethics Committee whether and to what extent Andy participates in other campus organizations.

Any issues facing Andy and the Student Government Association should have nothing to do with Andy’s participation in CR or any other organization.

Second, Andy has been a great part of the College Republicans. He has served as vice president for nearly two years, and Andy has a unique ability to build bridges beyond partisan politics. He widely engages himself with community leaders of all political persuasions, and he has been an asset to CR.
