This coming fall semester, the art department will offer a beginning photo class for non art majors that will be totally digital. Students from any discipline or major can take this course and learn how to use their digital camera, process the photographs and make beautiful prints using their own home equipment. Some of the class time will be spent as open lab time in the student’s own computer making images, shooting or printing exhibition quality prints. This course is ART 295 and is to be taught Monday and Wednesday 1-3:40 by Barbara Houghton. Students interested in this class who want to find out more can contact me at houghton@nku.edu or look for the website for this class at http://www.nku.edu/~photo/295. The website will be posted within the next week. If you can announce this new course to students by way of the newspaper, it would be appreciated. Thanks. I am on sabbatical leave this spring so I am not on campus, but if you have any questions you can contact me at home at 859.635.1996 or through the email address listed. BH
