Recently proposed state legislation may prohibit all university residents from smoking in their rooms.
The new policy was proposed to Kentucky schools as an addition to the Minger Act, which deals with the role of postsecondary institutions in reporting such things as crime, campus safety statistics and fire threats.
Lindsey Hunter, a representative of the Residential Housing Association said both the RHA and SGA must determine whether or not they are in favor of the new smoking policy.
