About SGA Elections

SGA has three branches, each of which are elected positions. The executive branch includes 5 members, the senate includes 30 members, and the judicial branch includes 5 members. Elections are held twice a year. Once during the Fall semester and once during the Spring semester.

The Spring elections are the biggest and most crucial election. During this election the Executive Team is established, which consists of, President, Executive Vice President, Vice President for Public Relations, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. These five positions have a term of one year.

This election also establishes 15 new senators and two Judicial Council members, whom also have a term of one year. The purpose of the Fall election is to turn over the senate by one half and elect two new members of the Judicial Council.
