VIDEO: Best-selling author begins series of events at NKU
“Dreamland,” a best-selling novel published nearly a year ago examines the heroin epidemic that is affecting large portions of the country. Now, the author of “Dreamland,” Sam Quinones, is participating in a series of events at NKU based around the book. The first was a writing workshop held in Landrum Hall.
Future events featuring Quinones:
March 16: Heroin in Northern Kentucky: 7 p.m. in Griffin Hall Digitorium
How are we responding? What more can we do? This NKY forum will discuss heroin and issues surrounding public policy.
April 18: Sam Quinones Speech: 6 p.m. in Greaves Concert Hall
Quinones will lead a conversation about “Dreamland” and the region’s battle with addiction. Book signings begin at 6 p.m. with discussion beginning at 7 p.m. and a panel at 8 p.m.
April 19: College of Education Services Think Tank: Time and Location TBD
A deeper discussion of Quinones; talk. Although the event is geared towards educators and individuals involved in social services, all are welcome.
