Traffic was backed up as far as the eye could see Thursday afternoon as students, parents and volunteers transported totes and furniture into the university’s housing facilities. 

Move-in day marks the start of Welcome Week, which was also celebrated Thursday afternoon with a picnic in the Student Union Plaza.
