For those new to campus or who need a refresher, here is a list of five must-know resources you can find at NKU.
FUEL NKU
Location: HC 104
Fall Hours of Operation: Monday-Thursday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

FUEL NKU is a free food pantry open to all NKU students. It is located in the Albright Health Center, adjacent to the Campus Recreation Center. When you visit, all you need is a bag (to carry your groceries) and a valid AllCard.
The name FUEL stands for “Feeding the University and Enriching Lives.” Their mission is to support food security by helping to nourish and empower students. They do this through education, engagement and advocacy, which can be seen in the different events that they either attend or host.
The Care Closet @ NKU
Location: UC 142
Fall Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, noon-4 p.m.

Similar to FUEL NKU, The Care Closet @ NKU offers students a place to shop for free clothing. Located on the first floor of the University Center, The Care Closet has racks of gently used clothes, along with displays of shoes and accessories. They are dedicated to being a safe and affirming place for students, and believe that everyone should have access to clothing that makes them feel their best.
Stego Studio
Location: Steely Library Room 220
Fall Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Located on the second floor of Steely Library the Stego Studio is a makerspace that is free and open to current NKU students, faculty and staff. They also have a recording studio, which is available on a first-come-first-served basis. The space can be used to work on school-related work or research.
Equipment available ranges from 3D printers and scanners to sewing and embroidery machines and craft supplies.
Campus Recreation Center
Fall Hours of Operation Vary.
See website

The Campus Recreation Center offers students a variety of activities and events that are included in their tuition costs. Many of these are group fitness programs that students can attend, such as yoga, cycling, strength training, meditation and more.
Being a student can become stressful at times, so it’s important to take care of both your physical and mental health, which Norse Fitness is here to help with. You can register for a class on their website, where a full schedule can also be found.
NKU Shuttle
Location: All Around Campus
Fall Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m.-11 p.m.
Saturday-Sunday, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-8 p.m.
The NKU Shuttle is a TANK bus that drives the same route around campus every 15-20 minutes. The shuttle’s route makes a loop around campus, goes to Northern Terrace/Callahan Hall and circles back to campus to repeat the route. It follows the same route and schedule every day, ensuring students have time to catch the bus if needed. This shuttle (along with any other TANK route) is free for NKU students, faculty and staff, as long as you have a valid AllCard to swipe when you get on board. A map of their route and more information can be found online or at the information desk in the Student Union.
