NKU students can catch plenty of festive Halloween activities all week around campus.

With Halloween just around the corner, NKU students can find plenty of haunting entertainment and feel-good festivities right here on campus.

1. Halloween Fest, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m.

For a Halloween night of tricks and treats, students are invited to Halloween Fest at Callahan Hall, located in the East Residential Village across from Kroger. The night will feature music from Pretty Boy Troy, a spooky haunted house and Halloween snacks. All students get in free, and the event will be hosted by the Residence Hall Association and LGBTQIA+ Student Initiatives.

2. “The Rocky Horror Picture Show,” Oct. 26 at 10 p.m. and Oct. 27-28 at 11 p.m.

A sinister, Halloween classic, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” is set to take the stage in Landrum Hall 110. As one of The Henry Konstantinow Theatre’s traditions, the production is the key fundraising event for the student-run theater. Audiences can expect lots of viewer participation with props and call-outs. Unfortunately for those who have not yet secured a ticket, all three showings are completely sold out.

3. Norse Leadership Society Halloween Bake Sale, Oct. 30 at 11-1 p.m.

Who doesn’t enjoy a baked treat to get them in the fall mood? Norse Leadership Society’s Halloween Bake Sale will take place on the second floor of the Student Union. All proceeds will go toward the leadership organization’s Fall Retreat, which will be heading to Indiana Nov. 17-19.

4. Halloween at the Rec, Oct. 26 at 4-7 p.m.

NKU’s Campus Recreation Center is hosting its own Spookfest, complete with a costume contest and trick-or-treat trail. Those displaying the most creativity and spookiness in their costumes can even win free Campus Rec swag and shout-outs on Instagram. The trick-or-treat trail will guide students through the center as they collect festive goodies.

5. Horror Roulette, Oct. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

On the Science Center lawn, students can settle in and get cozy to watch some frightening student films. Norse Film Society is partnering up with Activities Programming Board to host Horror Roulette, which will feature Halloween-inspired movies played on an inflatable movie screen, along with snacks and a costume contest.

6. Baptist Campus Ministry Engage, Oct. 31 at 5:30 p.m

A packed night with free dinner, worship and festivities will take place on Halloween at the Baptist Student Center, located between Landrum Hall and New Residence Hall. Dinner and desserts will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by worship and a message. At the end of the night, students can enjoy games, karaoke, dancing and s’mores.

7. Halloween meeting with Econ Club, Oct. 26 at 3-4:15 p.m.

In room 111 of Haile College of Business, all those with interest in learning more about economics can find snacks, games and community. Students can enjoy Halloween-style lofthouse cookies, popcorn and caramel apple pops to set the festive mood.

8. Halloween Party with Pokémon Fan Club, Oct. 26 at 5 p.m.

In the depths of Landrum Hall room 417, students who hope to hang out and get their haunt on can join NKU’s Pokémon Fan Club as they enjoy a spooky movie, eat some treats, play games and discuss Pokémon—of course.
