The Northerner

Comment Policy

The Northerner welcomes and invites all readers to comment on stories or articles about which they feel strongly or would like to offer there personal opinion.

Commenting on published work is a great way to spark discussion and find solutions. POlite, thoughtful public discourse is always welcome.

However, comments which have nothing to do with the topic do not help in creative discussion. The comment section is not the place to hash out personal differences, or even professional differences, if it will not add to the meaningful discussion of solving the issue at hand. The Northerner reserves the right to delete any comment without prior notice or explanation.

We may also delete comments that:

* Threaten, invite, or encourage violence.

* Are derogatory of others on the basis of political affiliation, gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual preference or disability.

* Are fraudulent, libelous, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit or indecent.

* Are posted by authors who or misidentify or misrepresent themselves. If you post, please post your real name.

The Northerner does not endorse comments made on the website.
