What face mask would your zodiac sign wear?

August 29, 2020

As a part of Healthy@NKU, students, faculty, and staff are mandated to wear a mask when they are on campus. Students are using this opportunity to express their interests, hobbies and other traits about themself, but what masks do the stars say fit your personality?

Josh Kelly

Aries: The strong and confident Aries will always deliver the truth very bluntly. This mask symbolizes the weaponry the tongue of an Aries can often reflect. Ironically, the Aries reacts very heavily with their faces so, hopefully, this allows a buffer zone for your facial expressions.

Taurus: Taurus typically have a strong will because they respect the constant tradition and routine in their life. This mask reflects both the security in their identity as a force to be reckoned with, yet still classic.

Gemini: Geminis often get called two-faced. The stars beg to differ. This mask emphasizes the illusion of Geminis: they’re very forward, yet confusing characters. No better way to illustrate that than through an optical illusion because this sign is usually more complex than they seem.

Cancer: Cancers will notice the emotional details of their surroundings. They are constantly thinking about the people around them and how they feel about things, which can lead them to get a little bent out of shape. The polygon mask reflects the ability to see the world around you in fragments that lead to a bigger photo.

Leo: Leos are fun, spunky and constantly expressing themselves. This sign is ruled by the sun which leads to even more expressive energy. The mask will allow others to know they are in the presence of a Leo without being told.

Josh Kelly

Virgo: Everything about Virgos comes naturally. They are natural leaders, natural speakers and natural debaters. This mask lets onlookers know if they truly want to go toe-to-toe with a Virgo in a debate. Because, like everything else, winning also comes naturally.

Libra: Libra’s indecisiveness is often interpreted as flaky. Watercolor is a similar expression of that energy as its simple strokes welcome people; the easily moved liquid leaves room for error. Nonetheless, they will still be a bright welcome before things suddenly switch.

Josh Kelly

Scorpio: Scorpios like a bit of mystery mixed with the knowledge in their own abilities. A nice Vinyl record flashes you back to the times of your childhood and not knowing how to work it and your parents saying “Music always sounds better on vinyl.” The same way a Scorpio knows that Steve Jobs helped mainline the streaming industry but (allegedly) would play Vinyl when he was home.

Sagittarius: Airplanes. Cruises. Luggage. Travel. What else feeds a Sagittarius’ need for adventure than these four things. These items, straight from an iPhone’s emoji list, embody the desire for Sag’s need to spend money on goods and whisk themselves away to destinations unknown.

Capricorn: Very plain sign. Capricorns are not one to express themselves on the first invite immediately. Additionally, if you look closely, you can tell there is a bit of a difference from one side to the other. This small detail will allow Capricorns to argue over something minute.

Aquarius: Aquarians are known for being fascinated by the unknown. Constantly reading conspiracy theories, watching supernatural movies and always having an above approach to life. No better way to express this than with the things flying above. Just be sure not to use this mask as a coaster when you watch “The X-Files.”

Pisces: Pisces are the truest dreamers. They have their feet on the ground, their head in the clouds and a drive to get them to those places. This mask paints a nostalgic reminder of their childhood watching “Toy Story” and wishing for simpler times.
