Dr. Dannie Moore to leave NKU July 15

June 25, 2020

President Ashish Vaidya announced today in a campus-wide email that Dr. Dannie Moore, assistant vice president for student affairs, is joining Eastern Kentucky University as its Vice President for Strategic Initiatives and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer.

This new position is effective July 20, 2020.

Vaidya wrote in the email that over Moore’s nine years at NKU, he’s developed strong cross divisional relationships that have helped to expand the scope of current student affairs.

“He also played a role in creating the Center for Student Inclusiveness and helped to expand Health, Counseling and Student Wellness services at NKU. The expansion ensured students are seen in a timely manner and have a safe space on campus,” Vaidya wrote.

Moore has served on the “Success by Design” strategic advisory group and the presidential search and selection committee. Recently, he served as co-administrator-in-charge of the Division of Student Affairs, Vaidya wrote.

“Please join me in thanking Dannie for his contributions in support of our students and the university. We wish him the best in his future endeavors,” Vaidya wrote.
