Campus Rec: classes, intramural sports canceled

Campus Recreation announced new hours, day for extensive cleaning

March 13, 2020

The Campus Recreation Center will stay open despite in-person classes being moved online—with the exception of Friday, March 20—according to an email sent to Rec Center members.

All programs, such as fitness classes and intramural sports, have been canceled. The bouldering wall will also be closed.

On March 20, the facility will be closed for an extensive deep clean and will reopen on Saturday, March 21 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and remain operational with modified offerings and hours.

According to the email, the new hours are as follows:

  • Hours will be updated beginning March 21:
    • Monday – Friday: 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
    • Sunday: 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The email also said that this information will likely change as “this global situation” continues to develop.
