VIDEO: A Night of Poetry and Percussion

The Center for Student Inclusiveness hosted “Noche de Poesía y Percusión” or “Night of Poetry and Percussion” on Friday, Oct. 7 in the Student Union ballroom in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. Colombian Indigenous activist, poet and public speaker Jessica Ayala captivated the audience with her performances of percussion, poetry and storytelling. We spoke with organizers and attending students on the effects that the event produced.
